Before and After: Rembrandt Tulip Trio

One of my poster design ideas as a contestant for the 2020 Tulip Time poster contest. There were things that I wanted to communicate with it:

1. Not single color tulips! These are Rembrandt tulips, not only a nod to the Dutch heritage of art, but also a bi-color tulip to point ahead to the overdue increase of the acknowledgement of diversity.

2. The tulip bulbs have already been planted for so long! The fact that a winter field already has all of the bulbs and flowers you’ll see in spring fascinates me. How often do you see the bulb of the tulip too?
