“Dance of the Siblings”

November 7, 2022

Beginning with a black blank canvas, one part to signify the darkness of sex trafficking, and also to have the live painting show up better to the audience, God directed me to start with drips and fingerpainting (I often paint like a child) specifically with red-- that the first thing to overcome the darkness is Jesus’s blood.

I often have huge emotions of worship when I fingerpaint, or any live prophetic painting, and this was the first I have done without any accompanying worship music.

While pearls are used as a motif for fund-raising/jewelry for sale, etc, fighting sex trafficking, these freshwater pearls (craft grade, embedded with gorilla glue, nothing fancy) and “gold” calligraphy ink dripping down for metallic texture, these pearls are about the overwhelming feeling of God's favor and love lavishing down on them, as he pours out his treasure on his beloveds.

The young women, rescued from oppression, dance in a whirling, joyful circle, lead by Christ who grips the hand of his sister next to him. I tried to specifically include many ethnicities, as Destiny Rescue works in the Pacific ocean/Asian continent area and many others. They wear crowns as co-heirs and the royal priesthood with Christ. Neutral colors were chosen for simplicity for making a very fast painting, and also to hopefully fit more easily into the buyer’s decor.

Hour and a half, acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

This 48"x24" was painted live for an fundraiser night for Destiny Rescue and also auctioned off LIVE that night. Winning bid $1,100 USD. The highest any of my art has sold for, thank you JESUS!!!!

I am so honored to have been asked to paint that night!

Hebrews 2:11

"Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters."
